Volunteer-Landscape Day (February 10)

Volunteer Landscape Event:  Thursday, February 10th, 2022. 10:00am-12:00pm.

This volunteer opportunity is an event with multiple volunteers supporting the museum to work on the museum grounds. Volunteer support like this helps to keep the museum safe and inviting to visitors. If we have an abundance of volunteers we will work on various landscaping projects. The priority project for this day will be moving mulch onto the museum garden beds, trails, and other places that it is needed.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for this volunteer program.

The museum will provide mulch, some tools, and a huge amount of gratitude for our volunteers! Volunteers are asked to bring water, gloves and any preferred tools.

As a thank you to our volunteers in attendance the museum galleries will be open for you to explore.

Masks: Masks are required indoors. Masks are required outside when social distancing is not possible (such as check-in). Guidelines are subject to change without notice.

Thank you for choosing to share your time with the Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals!
