We believe reading is a gateway to success in life and summer reading is a tradition that promotes reading for fun and lifelong enrichment. This year we challenge young rockhounds to pick up a book and learn about the things that they see when visiting the Museum.

The Challenge starts July 1 and continues through August 31. Register your child to receive a FREE admission pass and bring your completed reading log to the Museum Gift Shop by August 31 for a special prize. Remember to check our current hours here.

This Summer Reading Challenge is for readers of all ages and abilities, even children who have not yet begun to read.
