Group tours at the Rice Northwest Rock and Mineral Museum are available by pre-registration and for a variety of group sizes and special interests. The museum is also available forspecial events and meetings.
The historic Rice Museum houses one of the world’s finest collections of rocks and minerals. With extensive galleries, touchable specimens, skilled tour guides, we create a layered experience for visitors of all ages to connect to learning about our world. Tour topics include rock and mineral formation, fossilization, geologic time, history of the museum and more!
Groups of 35 or less are charged a flat rate of $150 Adults: $10.00 Students (K-College): $5.00 Veterans & Active Military: $5.00 Children 4 and under: Free
Our building capacity allows us to accommodate up to 39 people per group on guided tours. For groups larger than 39 attendees please contact our Program Schedule Coordinator at email@example.com to explore custom options to meet your group needs.
The museum is wheelchair friendly with an elevator. There is no food on-site, however an outdoor picnic area is available.
Small groups may come in for unguided visits during normal business hours. Museum hosts are available to answer questions and point out items of interest throughout the facility. Groups of 15 or more are eligible for a reduced admission if they schedule their visit at least two weeks in advance.
